Trekking completo / Cordillera Huayhuash
• Lenght: 13 days - 12 nights
• Location: Cordillera Huayhuash
• Walk route: Llamac - mirador san Antonio - Llamac
• Maximum height: 5,200 m. San Antonio step
• Difficulty: moderately difficult
• Season: April to October

One of the most beautiful trekking in the Andes of Latin America the Cordillera Huayhuash Peru, a tour of the entire mountain range, located in the three regions of Peru Ancash, Huanuco and Lima.

Itinerary

Day 01: Transfer from Huaraz on private transport to Chiquián - Llamac - Matacancha
4, 180 meters about 5 hour trip on Bus, in the route observe the first snow mountains as Ninashanca.5, 607 masl, Rondoy, 5,870 masl. Jirishanca 6,904 masl. then we arrive at the camp site Matacancha.

Day 02: Departure from Matacancha 8.30 Am to Mitococha Lake. 4,200 m. Hike 4 to 5 hours the first pass is called Cacananpunta 4,700 masl. From this pass is the Huanuco region, where Ninashanca, Rondoy the Huallanca range, and Lagunas, Pucacocha, Yanacocha Chico is observed and Then we descend to camp site at Mitucocha.

Day 03: Departure from Laguna Mitococha 8.00am to Laguna Carhuacocha 4,300 meters. Hike 4-5 hours. The second pass of Punta Carhuac 4,650 m. continue hiking down along the small ravine to our camping site in Carhuacocha. Panoramic view of Jirishanca, Siula Yerupaja and Jirishanca Mountains.

Day 04: Departure from Carhuacocha 8.00am to Huayhuash. 4,350 m. Walk approximately 7-8 hours third pass siula 4,800 meters. We ascend through the three lakes of different colors Siula, Quesillococha, Azulcocha. After the passage of the Eastern side we can observe the Cordillera Huayhuash.

Day 05: Departure from Huayhuash 8.00am to Hot Springs of Viconga 4,407 meters. Hike 5-6 hours. Approximately fourth pass of Portachuelo de Huayhuash. Where territories is between Huanuco and Lima region, from this spectacular panoramic view is to appreciate the Puscanturpa, Cuyoc and western part of the Cordillera Ruara in the Lima region. We arrived at the camp by the hot springs of Viconga then later take a bath in this hot spring

Day 06: Departure from Viconga 8.00am to Cuyocpampa 4,600 m. Hike 4-5 hours approximately the fifth pass of 5.000 m. we will pass very close to the glacier of Cuyoc 5,550 meters.

Day 07: Departure 8.00am from Cuyocpampa to Cutatambo 4,100 meters. Hike 5-6 hours approximately the sixth pass of San Antonio 5,200 meters. Where mountains are spectacular panoramic to see where was made a film Touching the Void by Jhon Simpson and Cordillera Huayhuash south face, then walk down to get the camp site at the edge of the blue lake Jurau 4,343 meters. and after half an hour of the lake we get the camp site.

Day 08: A special day to ascend to Camp of John Simpson the walking of this day is 4 hours to visit this camp, it is also a spectacular view for Siula Mountain, short walk as part of of rest day

Day 09: Departure 8.00am from Cutatambo to Huayllapa 3,600 meters. Descending along the Calinca or huayllapa valley to the village of Huayllapa, the route of this day lasts 4 to 5 hours.

Day 10: Departure 8:00 a.m. from Huayllapa to Gashpapampa 4,450 amsl. Walk 5 to 6 hours this day we will walk over 4,800 meters the Tapush pass. Where the mountans of Diablo Mudo 5,223 m is observed. and also a part of the Cordillera Blanca can be seen from the pass.

Day 11: Departure 8:00 am from Gashpapampa to Laguna Jahuacocha 4,100 meters. Hike 4 to 5 hours this day pass is Yaucha 4,800 meters. Where as the north face of the Diablo Mudo, Relief, Huacrish, Sacra, .Rasac, Yerupaja, Jirishanca And Rondoy mountains are seen then descend the lower gorge Huacrish up to camp at Jahuacocha lake.

Day 12: Rest day at Lake Jahuacocha to celebrate with a delicious typical dish of the region Pachamanca three flavors prepared by our cook and staff, specialized in typical dishes of the region where they also sell cold drinks local ranchers will cook for you if you wish, this could a chance to visit to the Solteracocha lake, 2 hours of walking go and back.

Day 13: Departure from Jahuacocha 8:00 a.m to Llamac walk about 4 to 5 hours. The last pass of Pampa Llamac 4,300 m. Where we can last see the northern part of the Cordillera Huayhuash, then walk down for 2 hours to Llamac and the bus will be waiting for us to transfer us to Huaraz and transfer to the Hotel in Huaraz.
